Thank you for your interest in IU's M.F.A. Acting Program. Our next recruitment cycle will begin in January 2026. 

The IU M.F.A. Acting Program provides tuition-free training, a generous yearly living stipend, and health insurance. In our next recruiting season in 2026, representatives from the IU M.F.A. Acting Program will be seeking exceptional candidates through the following audition opportunities: 

• The University/Resident Theatre Association (URTA) National Unified Auditions in Philadelphia, Chicago, Atlanta, Fullerton CA + virtual auditions
• An additional in-person audition day has been scheduled for February 21, 2026 in Bloomington, IN for those unable to audition through URTA. Contact Professor Jenny McKnight for additional information on this opportunity.

We prefer to meet candidates in person through one of these opportunities. 

Acting candidates should not complete the IU graduate school application until completing the audition process, after a formal offer has been made.
